M700 ORAVANKOLO

Oravankolo is a very modest cabin on for hikers in Nuuksio National Park. It is located on the North shore of the small lake Ruuhilampi. Originally it was built as a summer cottage in 1946. The National Board of Forestry (Metsähallitus) bought the cabin in 1993 to offer accommodation for hikers and others interested in nature in the National Park. A new sauna is built in spring 2010 for the cabin.

Please note: You need to bring drinking water. This cabin requires outdoor attitude and skills (how to make fire, for example). If you’re not sure, please consider another option. Villi Pohjola does not take resposibility for your skills.
